Sex & Female Sexuality
Our sexual ‘self’ is the least understood, examined, healed or ‘cool’ part of our being. It is unarguably the centre point of our self-expression and desire. More importantly the divide between where sex begins (or ends) and what defines our sexuality, especially intimacy, is the foggiest area of understanding. And that confusion straddles all cultures/ages/classes/gender.
Women and men have become equals in the home and the workplace, but a public acknowledgment and acceptance of female sexuality still lags behind. From slut-shaming to rape culture, female sexuality
has been vilified and controlled for far too long.
Where we are quick to understand the word sex we are completely at sea with the word ‘sexuality’. Our sexuality is the larger picture with many, many colours and hues of our being.
