Lorde Makes a Statement in Hot Pink Dress for “Green Light” Music Video [Instagram]
After a major hiatus from music, Lorde delighted fans on Thursday by dropping her first single in four years, “Green Light.” The accompanying music video sees the 20-year-old dancing the streets at 3 a.m., appropriately bathed in a green light. But it was her hot pink dress — which contrasts so sharply with the greenish hues — that caught our eye. Styled by Karla Welch, Lorde wears a vintage Giorgio Sant'Angelo tie-back mini dress and Adidas Originals superstars. Her two style signatures — her voluminous curls and her trademark dark lip — were traded in for soft waves (by Jen Atkin) and muted, barely-there neutral makeup (by Amber Dreadon).

Balenciaga Casting Directors Speak Out Following Controversy [Business of Fashion]
Last Sunday, prominent casting director James Scully caused quite the commotion when he took to Instagram to report that models at the casting for Balenciaga's Paris Fashion Week show had been left in a stairwell for three hours in the dark while casting directors Maida Gregori Boina and Rami Fernandes went to lunch. Balenciaga issued a statement noting that they had terminated their relationship with Boina and Fernandes. But now, the pair of longtime casting directors, who also work with Hermes and Elie Saab, are speaking up. “It is important to stop the spread of rumours and set the record straight,” said Boina in a statement to BoF. “To directly address these accusations, the models did not wait for 3 hours in the dark, not even one hour…That would be completely inhumane. Throughout the entire process, we provided the most comfortable accommodations allowable based on the facilities provided.” Boina went on to commend Scully for speaking out against the allegations of racism at Lanvin's casting (which the fashion house denied).

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington has been named the new face of Dolce & Gabbana's fragrance, The One for Men. “Kit Harington is exactly how we see the Dolce&Gabbana man: young, naturally charming, charismatic, with a personality rich in traits,” said designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in a statement. “There could be no other face for The One for Men.” (Matthew McConaughey was the former ambassador of the fragrance.) Harington is no stranger to starring in perfume campaigns; he previously fronted for Jimmy Choo's “MAN” fragrance.

Bella Hadid's first Dior Beauty campaign since being named the ambassador last May has arrived. We know what you're thinking, “Really? This is the first?” — the answer to which is “yep.” The model on Wednesday showed off the ad for Diorshow “Pump 'n' Volume” mascara on Instagram with the caption, “My first official Dior Beauty campaign! This is such a crazy, magical, massive honor for me to work for such an iconic brand that I have wanted to be a part of my entire life!!! I have dreamt about this moment since I was a child!!!”

Jennifer Fisher to Debut Newest Collection on Instagram [WWD]
Rather than present her latest collection in-person with a traditional by-appointment presentation for editors, jeweler Jennifer Fisher has decided to democratize the process by showcasing the pieces to both industry folk and consumers alike on Instagram. She will present her latest collection on Friday morning, and select pieces will be immediately available for sale on the app. Fisher photographed the pieces herself to keep the “raw” aspect of the social media platform.
