Givenchy Latest Fashion House to Release Childrenswear [Vogue]
Givenchy is the latest luxury fashion house getting into the childrenswear game. Joining the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Balmain, the French label will release a 130-piece streetwear-inspired collection (60 pieces for girls, 40 for boys and 30 for babies), priced between 80-300 euros (approximately $85-$322 at the current exchange rate). This is the first kids' collection for Givenchy, though when Riccardo Tisci helmed the brand, he created a few custom pieces for North West. The collection drops in July at Givenchy.com.
FTC Cracks Down on Influencers' Sponsored Content [FTC]
Influencers, you've officially been warned: The Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday released a statement noting that the agency is going to crack down on sponsored social media content, adding that the current standard — hashtagging #Spon or #Ad — isn't a sufficient disclosure. FTC staff stated that they sent more than 90 letters to influencers (including celebs and athletes) reminding them that “material connections” — “a connection that might affect the weight or credibility that consumers give the endorsement, like a business or family relationship, a payment, or the gift of a free product” — need to be extremely clear. A vague comment like “thanks” or “#Sp” was deemed too ambiguous, as was burying a disclosure in a string of hashtags a follower is not likely to read.
Kim Kardashian's Kylie Cosmetics Kollab Is Here [Twitter]
Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics line has tapped the makeup mogul's big sis Kim Kardashian for the latest in her lip kit kollaborations. The four new nude shades were revealed on Wednesday, each in a new creme formula as opposed to the typical matte formula. The kits go on sale next Tuesday at 3 p.m. Kylie also has kits named after older sisters Khloe and Kourtney.
