Gabrielle Chanel Stars In New Feminist Campaign [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
The face of Chanel's newest campaign is a familiar one. The French fashion house named its latest handbag, created by Karl Lagerfeld for the spring 2017 line, and accompanying fragrance after the first name of its founder, Gabrielle Chanel — best known by her nickname “Coco.” The imagery for the “Gabrielle, A Rebel at Heart” campaign is compelling, casting the founder as a feminist figure, fist thrust in the air and all. Gabrielle is also spotlighted in a short film as part of the brand's Inside Chanel series, which answers the questions of “How was the famous little jacket born, what were the paradoxes that shaped the Chanel look?” as well as the history of Karl Lagerfeld's interpretation of Gabrielle herself. The look is also reminiscent of Lagerfeld's 2014 feminist runway protest, which was one of the first recent examples of fashion latching onto the social movement.

Supreme Collaborated with New York's MTA [Racked]
How do you follow-up a collaboration with a famed luxury fashion house like Louis Vuitton? If you're Supreme, it's with a collab with New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) — yep, as in the subway system. Supreme and MTA released a limited series of MetroCards featuring the skate brand's signature red logo on the back of the card, with the typical yellow “MTA Metro Card” logo on the front. The cards were randomly stocked at various subway stops throughout the city, and caused a frenzy at the stations that were issuing the soon-to-be collector's items. A few of the cards are already selling on eBay for well over market value.

Tiffany Trump Teases Jewelry Project on Instagram [Yahoo]
Today in Tiffany Trump news, the youngest of President Donald Trump's daughters had the Internet abuzz over photos of DIY jewelry which she posted to her Instagram story. Many of her followers speculated that the pieces might be part of a new jewelry collection, a la her big sis Ivanka Trump, whose eponymous (and controversial) apparel, accessories and footwear label began as a jewelry collection. Last time we checked in with Tiff, she was attending New York Fashion Week, sitting front row at Philipp Plein, Taoray Wang and Dennis Basso, so maybe a fashion endeavor isn't that far off. Considering she was recently documenting her LSAT preparation on Instagram, however, the pieces could just be a part of a side project. A rep for Tiffany's mom, Marla Maples, didn't return The Hollywood Reporter's request for comment about her daughter's hobby.

Gisele, Tom Brady Join Pharrell and Katy Perry As Met Ball Chairs [People]
Gisele and her hubby, Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, are joining Pharrell and Katy Perry as co-chair's of this year's annual Met Ball. Anna Wintour, of course, is also on the board of this year's gala which will celebrate the work of Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo. The couple have been regular attendees over the past decade, so they're no strangers to the swankiest fashion event of the year.

Kelly Slater and Outerknown Launch Initiative to Raise Awareness About Global Issues [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Surf legend Kelly Slater and Outerknown, his sustainable California lifestyle and apparel brand, are launching the #ItsNotOk initiative to raise awareness about issues that are — you guessed it — not okay. The first issue to be spotlighted is ocean pollution. One hundred percent of proceeds from select #ItsNotOk branded tees and merch will be donated to the brand's first partner in the series, Ocean Conservancy.
