Vogue and Confused?
New Instagram account @VogueandConfused has us feeling, well, confused on what they are doing. The account is full of millennials like Presley Gerber and Brandon Thomas Lee posing in t-shirts with slogans like “I’ll never book Prada” and “He’s mine and I’m psycho”. The shirts are stylized to look ilke streetwear brand Supreme’s iconic tees, which are a nod to the fine artist, and UCLA professor Barbra Kruger’s work. How does Kruger feel about people jocking her style? Reported by Complex, there was a 2013 lawsuit where Supreme sued brand Married to the Mob for copyright infringement. Kruger soonafter released this statement: “What a ridiculous clusterf—ck of totally uncool jokers. I make my work about this kind of sadly foolish farce. I’m waiting for them all to sue me for copyright infringement.” Kruger has yet to comment on the Supreme X Louis Vuitton collector or @vogueandconfused.
