The pair had originally announced that they were getting a divorce in June 2015.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are officially calling it quits.

Garner, 44, has filed for divorce from Affleck, 44, reports TMZ. The couple reportedly filed a petition together, which means the separation is amicable.

The pair had announced that they were getting a divorce in June 2015.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” read a joint statement from the couple at the time. “We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.”

The statement continued: “This will be our only comment on this private family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

Affleck and Garner got married in 2005 and have three children together: two daughters, 11-year-old Violet and 8-year-old Seraphina, and 5-year-old son Samuel.

They began dating in 2004 after they worked together on Pearl Harbor (2001) and Daredevil (2003). They got engaged in April 2005 and were married two months later in June during a private ceremony in Turks and Caicos.

Their split comes a month after the actor revealed via Facebook that he completed a stint in rehab. Affleck thanked Garner for supporting him and caring for their kids while he was on the road to recovery from alcohol addiction.

“I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront,” he wrote. “I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step. I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.”

Reps for the actors declined The Hollywood Reporter's request for comment.
