First starters, she’s worked with Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquiere for years.

Following Clare Waight Keller's last Chloe show at Paris Fashion Week, Chloe has announced its new creative director: Natacha Ramsay-Levi.

“I am very proud to join a house founded by a woman to dress women,” Ramsay-Levi said in a statement. “I want to create fashion that enhances the personality of the woman who wears it, fashion that creates a character and an attitude, without ever imposing a 'look.'”

Ramsay-Levi may not be a household name, but the designer has long been part of the fashion industry. Here, five things to know about the French creative, who will take the helm for the fashion house's ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories, effective April 3.

1. Ramsay-Levi began her career serving coffee at Balenciaga.

In an interview with German Interview magazine, she shared that she was told to “do nothing else but to cook coffee and sort documents.” However, she stated, “But that did not matter to me.”

2. The coffee gig didn't last long as she went on to be Nicolas Ghesquiere's design partner in crime.

Ramsay-Levi went on to collaborate with Ghesquiere for eleven years at Balenciaga. When Ghesquiere departed Balenciaga in 2012 and joined Louis Vuitton as artistic director in 2013, he brought along Ramsay-Levi as the LV creative director of women's ready-to-wear. Ghesquiere even wrote a sweet Instagram note to his design partner-in-crime, who was on the scene earlier this week for the LV show at the Louvre. “30 shows and many more fantastic projects we experienced together @nramsaylevi,” he said. “We spent an extraordinary part of our life sharing our passion. You are an inspirational, talented and generous woman and I am truly grateful for that.”

3. Her debut collection for Chloe will be for the spring 2018 season.

She'll be showing her first collection in September during Paris Fashion Week.

4. She has a son with Purple magazine editor Olivier Zahm.

The couple, who dated on and off, welcomed their son, Balthus Billy, in 2013. A few years ago, the duo made headlines after Zahm took to Purple's online diary to talk about their breakup. According to The New York Times, he posted photos of himself holding a faceless, naked brunette's hair with the caption: “Trying to forget the pain.” It's unclear whether or not they're still together.

5. Her Instagram features a mix of architecture and sculpture.

Her son makes an occasional appearance on her Instagram account, but for the most part, Ramsay-Levi prefers posting about the art that we assume inspires her work.
